SEK International School Riyadh is in the authorisation process for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP), with plans to offer also in the future the Diploma Programme (DP).
Central to the philosophy of the IB PYP (Pre-K to Grade 5) is the principle that purposeful, structured inquiry is a powerful vehicle for learning that promotes meaning and understanding, and challenges students to engage with significant ideas.
Therefore, in the IB PYP there is also a commitment to a concept-driven curriculum as a means of supporting that inquiry. Consequently, SEK International School Riyadh students will use a variety of sources of knowledge and ideas, some of which may be traditional textbooks.
The School will inform families about the materials their children will need for the programme.
Families will have two options for lunch, both of which will be supervised by our staff:
We strongly believe in healthy eating for optimum learning, therefore will monitor closely the meals provided by our cafeteria service, and also lunches brought from home.
We plan to offer bus transportation for students from different locations across Riyadh.
