The president of SEK Education Group welcomes the Royal Commission of Riyadh City at SEK-Riyadh

Nieves Segovia, President of SEK Education Group, who is on a visit to the new SEK-Riyadh school welcomed an official delegation from the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC). During the visit, the members of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City were given a tour of the school’s facilities and were able to exchange opinions to find out more about SEK-Riyadh’s educational methods and objectives for the 2021-22 school year.

The RCRC representative group were also given the opportunity to learn about the SEK educational model and shared ideas on how SEK-Riyadh and RCRC would be able to collaborate in the development of education in Riyadh, as part of the Saudi government’s 2030 Vision strategy.

Nieves Segovia presented a commemorative plaque to Mazen Tammar, RCRC Strategic Projects Advisor, expressing SEK Education Group’s appreciation to the Royal Commission for Riyadh City for their help and collaboration in the opening of the SEK International School Riyadh.

The representatives from the Royal Commission for Riyadh City included Mazen Tammar; Maryam Alasmari, Educational Projects Advisor; Akram Saab, Strategic Partnership Advisor and Jorge Urteaga, Strategy and Business Development Advisor.

Meanwhile, the delegation from SEK International School Riyadh included Nieves Segovia, President of SEK Education Group; José Luis Delso, Vice President of SEK Education Group; Alejandro Delso, Director of New Projects; Chris Charleson, Director of SEK International Schools; Miriam Buckley, Principal of SEK International School Riyadh; Damián Fernández, Head of Business Development; Alberto Oro, Chief Operating Officer and Joan Blázquez, SEK-Riyadh School Business Manager.

The new SEK International School will open its doors on 5 September and will welcome students from Preschool (3 year olds) to grade 2 (7-8 years old) for this first academic year and is a candidate to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).
