SEK International School Riyadh is conveniently located in the Al Rabie district, in central Riyadh close to the Kingdom Hospital, with excellent travel connections via the King Salman and King Fahad highways.
Established in 1892, SEK International Schools are places where innovation and pedagogical leadership are combined with nearly 130 years of tradition and history to offer educational programmes of the highest quality. SEK has over 40 years’ experience of offering IB programmes, with an excellent record of IB diploma results and university entrance. Our aim at SEK International Schools is to provide a high-quality international education through the development of our students’ abilities to the highest level of their potential.
SEK-Riyadh welcomed its inaugural students in September 2021. We currently welcome applications from students in Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 (ages 3 to 14).
SEK International School Riyadh is an authorised PYP school and an IB candidate school* for the MYP. The school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students. We will eventually be offering a full International Baccalaureate education, adapted for the Saudi Arabian context, from age 3 to 18 years, to ensure pupils can complete the best possible pre-university education at SEK-Riyadh.
Classes from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6 are co-ed.
* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes visit https://www.ibo.org.
Our main priority at SEK International Schools is to provide a quality education to our students through the different educational experiences we offer them. This entails a constant review of our learning and teaching processes, our curricula and our assessment processes.
In order to comply with these high quality standards we regularly manage and review our quality assurance providers and submit our schools to external evaluations in order to ensure compliance with the standards required by the most demanding international and national educational authorities.
